swagger like us

Sitting in the car listening to M.I.A. and waiting for my roommate. I was looking out the window at a busy intersection a couple of hours ago and saw a man holding a large fountain soda cup for change. Usually I'd write him off as a con artist or a man homeless because he spent all his money on alcohol (clearly, the glass is half full). But then I thought about where my change usually ends up-- in a jar at home or lost in random drawers, bags, etc. It's never been something that I've noticeably missed or placed much value in.  So, I think I'll hand over change from now on; and there's always a small chance that the people asking for it could genuinely need it.
